Customer Rating: Summary: Turning Lincoln green - castor oil, nurse! Comment: Errol Flynn gets bad wig, dresses in green tights and reckons it's time he made Marion. Filmed in an England with no drizzle or fog - Warner Bros' back lot - here is a land where the Technicolor never dimmed and everyone laughed through the most dire adversity. Thick or what? They had so much fun back in those days, they didn't even know they were starving. Even the nobility was stupid - fancy Prince John and cronies falling for that old 'Let's get by the guards dressed as friars' trick! Enter Rasil Bathbun, arch-fiend and all-round bad egg, intent on robbing the poor and generally acting like McEnroe 40-love down. "Come now, Sir Guy," says Robin, "you wouldn't kill a man for telling the truth, would you?" Bathbun replies, "If it amused me, yes!" Now that's my kind of villain!
Customer Rating: Summary: superb Comment: just watched the blu ray version of this classic movie, and i must say for most part it looks positively stunning! considering its age it puts many modern films to shame! and with plenty of extras to keep most movie fans happy its a great example of what can be done with the extra space that blu ray discs have to offer.Th Adventures of Robin Hood [Blu-ray] [1938] [US Import] oh just to confirm the disc came from america and is region free playing without any problems on my playstation 3.

Customer Rating: Summary: Errol Flynn at his best . Comment: A true classic film . This part was made for Errol Flynn , and he is supported by fine performances by Basil Rathbone, Claude Rains , and Olivia de Havilland . This film should be in the collection of any self respecting film buff . Cracking stuff ! .
Customer Rating: Summary: Saving the crown with style Comment: A very good action movie with the legendary tale of Robin Hood based on a true medieval figure.
This movie has set a standard that would be followed by almost every action movie afterwards. But Errol's version did it with humour and style. And the movie's plot stays realistic and the stunts are quite good for the time. People might agree or disagree with this morally correct version of Robin Hood who defends the poor but this portrays a real action hero caught in a clear political crisis. Moreover, I think that we need to see political heros who truly try to improve the people's faith.
