Summary: I didn't enjoy this, I'm sorry to say
Comment: I'm a Tomb Raider fan, but this game to me wasn't even worth finishing. I didn't enjoy playing this to the point where I didn't even finish. I played around 2 thirds of the way though then gave up.

The first 3 TR games are outstanding, but the next 2 didn't cut it, in my opinion.

Ok, so it's got a lot of good reviews here, but this is just my humble opinion. I don't think I'd ever be tempted to play it again, but I did purchase the PC version as you receive the Level Editor to create your own levels.

Apart from that, this to me wasn't classic Tomb Raider.

Summary: Hmm...
Comment: Tomb Raider Chronicles is definitely a good game, but as part of the Tomb Raider series it isn't so impressive. The Last Revelation is in my opinion the best game of the series, and I feel like this game has slipped down a bit. First of all, in this game Lara doesn't go anywhere near a tomb most of the time, instead she's sneaking through military bases and submarines. This isn't necessarily a bad concept, but to me it's not what Tomb Raider is about. I want to explore a quiet, eery tomb and solve puzzles and shoot a few enemies, rather than sneaking through barracks and dispatching soldiers. The stealth that you're forced to use in this game feels like a weak Metal Gear Solid imitation and personally I didn't receive it well. The game engine is also practically identical to the previous game, and isn't even THAT different from the original Tomb Raider, despite being released about 4 years after. If you think about the difference in graphics between Final Fantasy VII and VIII, which were about 2 years apart, you can see that Core design weren't keeping up. I've never played the PC version, but apparently it's full of crippling level bugs, especially on the final level, which can stop you from finishing the game :S So I'd buy this version instead!
Still, Tomb Raider Chronicles is a good adventure game and can offer you a lot of exciting gameplay, and is thankfully a little easier than its predecessors, although it's still a difficult game. Overall, I prefer TR4 by far, this game isn't realy Tomb Raider to me. It's still worth a look though.

Summary: Good but there are some flaws!!!
Comment: I am a tombraider fan a diehard tombraider fan and my favorite in the series is TR TLR(Aka TR4) but this game is good too but does have some flaws like on the very last level there is alot of savegame bugs about 8 or 9 and i only got 1 thankgod but i had to reload since it kept crashing on the loading screen i went to an earlier save and finally completed the game(would have been quicker without the bug but) Yes tombraider is getting better the graphics are good and all these graphics are ok not the best the controls are abit dodgy at times but overall a good tombraider game.

Summary: Tomb Raider Chronicles
Comment: Tomb Raider Chronicles, what can I say! It is an extremely enjoyable game. The layout is extremely similar to Tomb Raider The Last Revelation. It starts in Rome where you bump in to Larson and Pierre, previously seen in Tomb Raider. The first level is good fun, mainly puzzle solving and finding useful equipment. The second level "Trajans Market" is really good fun, you battle a huge head, a gladiator, and if this wasn't enough, you also have to battle three serpants. The Rome levels end after "Colusseum".

You then play Russian Base levels, followed by a haunted island, when you are 16, full of exciting twists and turns. The last level is set in VCI headquarters, where you meet Verner Von Croy again.

The FMV's and cutscenes, are really good.

Overall this is a wonderfully exciting game, and if you are reading this, I recommend getting it.
