Customer Rating: Summary: just history repeated Comment: As a michael fan i own all of his records and then some. however i wouldn't suggest to really buy this album and i haven't either. It's just the first cd of his huge history album. My advice would be to buy that instead, because you not only get all of the songs on this album but it comes with an album of (what was) new material, and in my opinion is a lot better value. However if the only songs of michaels are the ones on this album that you like then buy this. but value for money history is better
Customer Rating: Summary: A best of Michael is a best of music. Comment: Wow, one CD and so many great songs. Michael Jackson may not have released many albums but his back catalogue easily rivals that of The Beatles and Elvis. A Fantastic mix of tracks, every one of the a classic.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad Comment: As a big Michael Jackson fan, I would reccomend buying this album to have an idea of Michael Jackson's music if you are not too sure. But as I am the owner of most of his music I haven't bought this album because it contains music from from all of the classic albums, Off The Wall/Thriller/Bad/Dangerous. Though if you have no intentions of buying all of Michael's albums then by all means, buy this album.
Customer Rating: Summary: A classic buy, you won't stop playing this for ages!!! Comment: I bought this album knowing that i was familiar with MJ's music and as I browsed through the track listings i couldnt help but to buy it immediately. As soon as you start listening to the CD you are immediately brought into familiar territory with the smash hit "Billie Jean", a quite classic blend of catchy music with fun and intelligent lyrics. Also the musical diversity hits you straight away over the course of the album. Everything from rock, dance pop, disco, rn'b aswell as soulful ballads. Also the whole thing ends on a very poignant note with "Heal the World". All in all a must for even the least dedicated of Jackson fans!!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: A collection of some of the most sublime pop music ever... Comment: I must say that rock is my usual cup of tea when it comes to listening to music, but I have always made noble exceptions for what I call 'quality pop' artists, namely Prince, Madonna, but most of all Michael Jackson. The songs on here are some of the finest pop songs ever written. The only song here that is not essential listening is the Paul McCartney duet, 'The Girl is Mine'; while not a bad song, it is verging on the twee side of things. Featuring furious dance-pop ('Billie Jean', 'Bad' and 'Wanna Be Startin Something'), sweet balladry ('I Just Can't Stop Loving You' and 'She's Out of My Life'), disco-pop ('Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' and 'Rock With You'), r'n'b ('Remember The Time'), upbeat pop ('The Way You Make Me Feel'), guitar-heavy numbers ('Black or White' and 'Beat It'), socially-conscious songs ('Heal the World' and the wonderful 'Man in the Mirror'), and, of course, the epic 'Thriller'. I give it 5 stars, yet it still misses out so many classic Jacko tracks ('Smooth Criminal', 'Another Part of Me', 'Human Nature', 'Give in to Me' etc.). A truly one-in-a-million artist.
