Customer Rating: Summary: Worth Every Penny Comment: I absolutely love this game. I've played it numerous times and because there is so much to do, by the time you finish it, and have a break, you can go through the whole game again without being bored. Is certainly a game to pick if you want to play with someone else with you, or alone. Voices and characters are brilliant. Love it. Recommended it to friends and they're addicted. Definitely one to own.
Customer Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC! Comment: Grim Fandango is a brilliant game. You get hours and hours of fun out of it. Sometimes the game can be hard and more challenging. It is a great game that is funny at times.
The graphics are good and so are the sounds. I like the way you can talk to most of the people you see and you also have a choice of what to say.
Overall it is still a great game considering it is over 10 years old.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the greatest Adventure Games ever Comment: I've first played Grim Fandango about 7 years ago, and played it a number of times again through out the years. Grim Fandango ranks easily along my Top 10 favorite games I've ever played (and I've played A LOT), and it's my second favorite adventure game (only next to the ultimate masterpiece Riven).
What IS Grim Fandango? It's Manny Calavera's story, a dead man trying to save a soul, and let's say, the coolest adventure character ever. He stumbles upon all kinds of obstacles through his way to redemption, clever (and sometimes difficult) puzzles that completely go along with the story line and they are not there "just" to remind you you're playing an adventure game. I can't, not mention Grim's great jazz soundtrack which creates a great retro atmosphere in the game.
Lucas Arts never did better than that. If you've played a couple of adventure games before and like the genre already, play Grim Fandango at all means, and then you'll LOVE the genre.
Customer Rating: Summary: My 2 pence Comment: I've no idea why I'm adding to the already gushing glut of Grim Fandango love, but I feel I also have to say how I think this is one the best games ever. Would be a shame for it to peter out through a lack of platform support. Where is the Vista patch?? the music is the best to feature in any game yet too ;)
Customer Rating: Summary: The ultimate adventure game Comment: They tried to pull something like this off with Monkey Island 4, but so far this game is one of a kind. Apart from brilliant script, great sense of humour and a completely beleivable and immersive world, you can almost physically feel the love and affection the creators had for their characters.
The only negative emotion I had during playing this game was sadness when the game ended and I had to say good-bye to the characters, whom you even want to call friends (even though the game is not very long, it spans quite a period of the virtual time).
Very highly recommended to any adventure fan or anyone wishing to familiarise with the genre. Very positive and uplifting experience
