Summary: Inspiring and uplifting
Comment: This video is fantastic! Having read Ellen's book "Taking on the World" (which is also great!) I was moved to buy this video and it rapidly became the most watched in my collection! Having spent a lot of time being off work ill and feeling pretty low my escape was to put this video on and it never failed in cheering me up and inspiring me. Straight away you're swept along with Ellen and she makes you feel involved. Her story is shown from childhood (in brief with photos) right up to the Vendee Globe awards, having been around the world on Kingfisher with her during the epic voyage from France down through the daunting Southern Ocean and back.
The highs and lows are all shown. There are times when events seem to conspire against Ellen and you could cry with her and times when she faces her worst fears, overcomes great struggles and you feel the elation too!
Absolutely brilliant - and not just for sailors either!
My only regret is that it's not available on DVD. I think I'm in danger of wearing my video out!

Comment: Absolutely fantastic.I was in complete awe at what MacArthur had to go through on the Vendee Globe race. She has endurance, courage and amazing spirit. Even if you cant stand sailing, this is an absolute must for anybody who wants to be inspired.

Summary: Super movie worth watching! Shows all the ups and downs!
Comment: It is refreshing to watch this movie since it is very honest about the frustration, the dispair and the joy ellen goes through on her big race around the globe. Great sailing scenes and overall a breathtaking movie!
