Summary: Very good but get ready!!!
Comment: I had the tae-bo 1 tape and was getting a bit bored so decided that i needed something more advanced. When I eventually managed to complete the 30 minute workout, I was unable to move my abs properly for 2 days- I really felt the pain. Anyway, no pain no gain , so if you want to get your abs in shape , I would recommend this. Although having said that , this workout is NOT for beginners.

Summary: Could Do Better
Comment: I bought this video as it specifically targets the abs, so my review really concentrates on this aspect. Also, I am a newcomer to the Tae Bo phenomenon, so I'm not sure how this video compares to the other workouts in the series.I was slightly disappointed with my purchase because the actual workout time is only 30 minutes. There is an introductory session which is a good warm-up and teaches you the principles behind the correct techniques for Tae Bo punching and kicking, but in terms of actual time concentrating on the abs, it is a let down.
I had hoped for two or three short-ish workouts on the same video to offer a bit of variety from one day to the next, but as I say, you actually spend only 10 minutes or so on the abdominals, with the rest of the time doing some fairly well-known exercises on the glutes. Not particularly original and not really challenging enough if you work out regularly and are pretty fit. And it didn't seem to be very good value with only 30 minutes of actual full-on exercise time.
Having said all that, if you are a beginner and need a motivating video that is easily achieved in a short space of time, then you might really like it.
Please can someone bring out a really good, new video for the abs?! All the ones on the market at the moment seem to be so old!

Summary: An irritating workout
Comment: I found this video rather irritating. The participants were counting 1,2,3,4... in the background, throughout the entire video. The pace was too fast and I felt like I was just flapping my limbs about rather than concentrating on my muscles. Finally, he didn't seem to be counting properly and would do more reps on one side than the other.
I would not recommend this video.

Summary: Great Vid, but....
Comment: .......I have noticed that when doing certain exercises such as the leg lifts. He sometimes forgets how many he has done on the right leg and does more on the left leg and vice versa. I'm not an expert so I don't know much difference it makes.
With all that said, DON'T let this stop you from buying it. It is a wonderful video, it really works and Billy Blanks is the best. I love it when he say's "make it burn."

Summary: No pain, no gain
Comment: Although the muscly women in the background give you something to aspire to, you have to remind yourself that they probably do Tae Bo for five hours a day, not half an hour every Thursday.
The exercises are very tough and make you shout almost as much as "Shelly" - Billy's infamous sidekick. However, even after two sessions, you can see a difference in your stomach definition and by integrating it with Tae Bo Advanced and the more aerobic videos, your body improves overall quite rapidly. Really impressive work out (and you feel really good afterwards, even if your legs are shaking from the strain!)
