Comment: Created using the amazing, award-winning Half-Life engine, Counter Strike quickly cemented its position as the world's number one online (F)irst (P)erson (S)hooter. Mixing intense action with an element of teamwork gives this game a truly authentic feeling.
The basic concept behind the original Counter Strike was that the player would join a counter terrorist team or even join the terrorists themselves. This allowed for a great deal of competition between the two teams of players, each wanting to get one over on their opponents.
This terrorist/counter terrorist battle would not have been so successful without the excellent array of weapons available to both sides. From the humble knife to the amazing head-shot ability of the sniper rifles, there is enough to sate even the most hardcore FPS fan. However, the Counter Strike team did not just bundle together a few weapons just to make the game go. Each weapon is given a detailed description in game, allowing for the optimal choice of weapon for the mission.
But what does Condition Zero bring to the table that previous incarnations of the came didn't? For years Counter Strike was purely a multiplayer game, with single player only available through use of separately downloaded bots (AI controlled players). Now, however, thanks to Condition Zero, we are presented with the title's first one player campaign - Condition Zero mode.
Although this mode has its fair share of excitement, it pales in comparison to stalking a player controlled character before finishing them off. But Condition Zero does not hold back in this department either as it offers a separate mode for online play. This version of the original online epic, allows for one player gaming also in the traditional Counter Strike format.
Overall, this game is still one of the best online games around. There may be a sequel out now, but nothing will ever be able to cast a shadow over the revolutionary original. Definitely worth a purchase as many players still play the original online. Pick up a copy and join the fight.

Comment: I've played many games in my time and non has ever kept me hooked like this game. I started playing Counterstrike in 2001 then moved on to Condition Zero when it was released and its only got better! Fantastic addictive game that just keeps you coming back for more. The game takes requires skill, timing, learning the maps and well planned tactics! Learn your guns and which work best with which map, each gun fires as if they were a real gun so make sure you learn their pros and cons well. There are also lots of 'Fun' servers where there are custom maps where you can (for instance) only play knives, only play scouts, pistols, etc.. or where you are as tiny as rats and run around a large Kitchen, etc killing your opponant. The game does take a lot of practice as you will probably find you die quite easy the first few times when your playing online, but once you get into the swing of things there is no turning back.This game isnt the worlds number 1 online action game for nothing! And for a measily tenner, its worth every penny and more!

Comment: Counter strike is a great game which takes alot of skill and strategy. Its great fun to play on the internet, where you can use a number of tactics to defeat the enemy.The one down side to it is that the graphics arent the best i've ever seen but the game play certainly makes up for it.

Comment: i got this game and whent on to stem an put in my cd key an downloded the game throw steam and found the game to crash an lock up then in installed it from the cd's an loded it in to steam and it worked find an the up deats are gr8 be for the updeats the games is just 1.6 with offline play new it is its own game buy cz if u love 1.6 but just whant the game to have lil better things like guns look a lil better an that hozzies talk and try and run away (this only happens after the online steam updeats) so i say buy this game
