Customer Rating: Summary: Cheap and not so cheerful Comment: After only half a dozen uses, this blender just died outright, emitting a little blue spark inside and then completely dead. Changed fuses with no effect. This blender was then returned and a new one was sent out with no problems - however, within the first few tries, this blender encountered exactly the same problem. The electricals blew resulted in a second dead blender. Both times it had blown, the jug was not even half full of soup.
This time I returned it to Kenwood with a detailed description of what had happened (twice!). After chasing the matter up with them, they had an engineer take a look at it, claiming it was working fine and returned it to me. Of course when I plugged it in, it was dead as a doornail. I really couldn't be bothered with waiting in for a courier a second time so this blender was resigned to the dustbin. I can only think that the Kenwood engineer was some sort of magician.
Complete waste of money, avoid!
Customer Rating: Summary: Ill-designed handle Comment: The handle attachment is seriously flawed. It slots in from the top (which is just asking for trouble) and is secured by two small clips. These clips are liable to fail, leaving you holding the handle whilst the jug falls to the ground and breaks. This is simply due to bad design and it makes an otherwise decent blender not fit for purpose.
Customer Rating: Summary: good for 1 month Comment: This is a very good blender for certain things but mine broke after 1 month while blending 2 ice cubes into a smoothie. But i would still recommend it if your not gonna put ice in it.
Customer Rating: Summary: A refund for my money Comment: I bought this item from this seller and it was delivered on time but had my account of my money deducted thrice. I need my money but had not heard from them . hope to hear from them otherwise a 4 star will do
Customer Rating: Summary: Trouble with spare parts! Comment: This blender has been an excellent addition to my kitchen for the past 3 years and has had constant use for soups and smoothies. However, the blades have become blunt and unfortunately replacement blades are not available and I would have to buy a replacement cutting unit which has a cost of approximately £10. I have chosen to buy a new machine as I did not want to buy a new cutting unit and then have the motor wear out. It would in effect be cheaper to buy a new machine. It's sad because the blender was still in working order and I have had to bin it because of expensive replacement parts.
