Summary: Kaspersky Internet Security
Comment: Had it for the last 2 years now and never had a problem. 2007 was really good, 2008 was ok but 2009 edition is wicked. Some say , AVG is better ( it might ) , other say NOD32 but i recommend Kaspersky for your security. Voted so many times best Security Suite.

Summary: Still good
Comment: I've been using Kaspersky for about three years now (we have 6 computers in our house) and although the newer versions can cause reduced performance, an experiment using Windows Live One Care clearly demonstrated that while the latter does not impair performance, it doesn't protect from infected emails even when suspect attachments are stored locally and scanned manually. When these attachments were forwarded to a machine with Kaspersky, the virus was IMMEDIATELY and promptly detected and dealt with. I'll stick to the one that works, but I wish they'd address the performance issues.

Summary: Not for the faint-hearted ...
Comment: ... of whom I am one. Before purchasing Kaspersky, I noted one reviewer helpful stated that it was good 'for those who know what they are doing', and counted myself in. Kaspersky has routinely shown me I am an outsider.

It loaded and registered easily and I sat back to admire. It immediately became hyperactive, bleeping and moaning about my most trusted sites, accusing them all of being under attack from 'Invader riskware'. Heck, it scared the something out of me! I started to panic and peace of mind - which these packages are supposed to bring you - was a thing of the past. What was frustrating was that it was frequently asking questions about what to allow through but never giving advice.

I decided I should not give up without trying the help desk. The number of hoops to jump through was formidable and I lost the will to live half-way through, so I shall never know how good the support people are. My loss.

This may well be an excellent package but you have to know what you're doing and there is not much help on offer. I gave it a month and bought Bit Defender which seems an ocean tranquillity by comparison. It worries - without bleeping - about things coming in but then tells me they are clean and why don't I allow them access? O bliss! Internet security for the common man. Happy days are here again!

Summary: excellent
Comment: I have been using Kaspersky anti-viral software now for over two years having in the past used different anti-viral products. I have found Kaspersky software very good and have had no problems with the software. Installation is easy just by clicking and following the onscreen prompts like recommended installation and the job is done. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Summary: Kaspersky is nice.
Comment: I was very hesitant at first to buy this particular software. But I haven't got any regrets after I bought this. As many others mentioned this software does not eat a lot of CPU power. The protection offered by this software is as good as its competitors, if not better. I initially wanted to try it for the complete trial period but after 7 days of trying this software. I felt that I should buy it and did so immediately. I was surprised to see some infection in my computer which Norton did not pick-up and to my horror they were root-kits. Fortunately I do not use my online bank account on my home computer. I am much more than satisfied with this purchase and although I bought KIS-7 I was able to upgrade to the latest KIS-2009 free of charge with the same key which came with KIS-7. Fantastic isn't it? If the reader has not done the upgrade, please do so, it has a virtual keyboard as well. This protects you against key loggers. But anyways no key-logger can be installed while KIS-7/2009 is there. Also I loved the parental control feature in KIS-2009.
