Customer Rating: Summary: Junk Comment: Used once for about 30 seconds. The spot welds on the bracket that hold the barrels onto the cross bar snapped off making the pedal action lop sided. Also noticed a high pitched squeak on every stroke as though the air flow was restricted somewhere in the pipework. The valve adapter is a sorry piece of plastic that won't last very long either.
Customer Rating: Summary: Michelin Double Barrel Footpump Comment: Absolute rubbish. Never fitted tyre valve well, needed constant repairs and has now fallen to bits. Worst item I have bought in a long time. Not fit for purpose.
Customer Rating: Summary: Pump good - plastic bit in valve is not Comment: I like the pump - but the valve attachment is shoddy - the plastic has been damaged after about a year of being pushed onto bicycle tyres.
I need a replacement hose and valve attachment...
Customer Rating: Summary: Mine broke too! Comment: As per the other reviewers, I decided to spend 3 times the price of a run-of-the-mill foot pump on a Michelin double barrel pump, expecting to get 3 times the quality. Unfortunately this was not the case. The pump itself seemed of robust construction, but it only lasted approximately 8 months of light use. It was mainly used for topping up my motorcycle tyres - usually only 2 or 3 pumps at a time - before it gave up the ghost. I did think that maybe I'd just got a "duff" one until I read the other comments on here. I have to say that the gauge was very accurate though, but I won't be buying another. I'll get a cheaper one and use a separate pressure gauge. Definitely not worth the money.
Customer Rating: Summary: The only really good footpump I have ever bought Comment: The Michelin double barrel pump is great. Robust, ergonomic and fast inflation. Build quality far exceeds the usual spindly metal-framed affairs. The hose clips neatly away. The gauge readings match those of my professional-quality British Standard approved separate gauge. Most foot pumps have a gauge that is nothing more than an approximation.
I am confused by the review that says "I've looked around and found the Draper and Clark versions are identical." Neither of those suppliers have a product that looks at all like the Michelin. I wonder if that review is against the wrong product?
