Customer Rating: Summary: Kitty jet irrigator Comment: This is the perfect solution for anyone with gingivitis or gum disease. It is much easier to use than floss or the little brushes that you push between the teeth (TePe). You'll be amazed how effective the waterjet is at flushing out the debris that lodge in the spaces between your teeth. And you thought your teeth were clean after brushing!. Once you see how much rubbish gets left behind you will not want to be without it. I have had mine for 2 years now. My previous unit lasted 3-4 years. They are very reliable . Avoid WaterPik (another brand) units as they are not reliable and leak (see reviews). The rechargeable units are OK but again avoid WaterPik as they usually fail within 2-3 months (keep the receipt!). If you want a rechargeable unit bear in mind the reservoir is small and you may need to top up mid flight. The best of the rechargeables is the PANASONIC (not widely available in the UK but can be ordered through your dentist) around £45.
Back to the Kitty Jet waterfloss; You can use warm water in the reservoir if your teeth are sensitive and add Corsodyl mouthwash for added antiseptic benefit.
I wish all my patients had one of these and I use it myself daily.
