Customer Rating: Summary: I can not recommend this anime enough Comment: Set in karakura town in japan the story follows Ichigo,a human with the ability to see spirits. After recieving soul reaper powers from Rukia in order to save his family he becomes a hero of sorts , destroying evil hollows and helping souls to pass on.
In this volume his battle with Uryu carries on and members of the soul society are dispatched to deal with Rukia....
Customer Rating: Summary: Japanese w/subtitles Comment: To the reviewer above: yes, there is a separate Japanese audio track with English subtitles. I prefer this myself and was most pleased to find it included.
With regards to the DVD itself, I bought it recently on recommendation and I have to say it is absolutely fantastic. The story, artwork and voicework are really top-notch (although that stuffed bear really, really annoys me).
I can't recommend this enough.
Customer Rating: Summary: good start Comment: Got nothing to worry about Charles, these DVD's include English Audio and Japanese Audio with English subtitles, you are spoilt for choice really. Good start for Bleach in the UK, let's see if it continues.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the best anime out there Comment: although i dont own this particular DVD, i've watched the free fansubs before it was released in this country. Bleach is one of the best anime i've seen, and is the anime that got me interested in anime in the first place. I would highly recommend this anime. if you're not keen on the earlier episodes, bleach really takes off after the first 15 or so episodes, so watching it after that really does pay off.
P.S i would like to purchase this DVD, but im not sure if the episodes are available in japaneese with english subtitles, or if they are only in the english language. I prefer watching them in japaneese, and was wondering if anyone who bought it could post a comment tell me if they are in fact available in japaneese? thanks.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bleach continues to improve Comment: This second half of the Bleach anime series contains the final eight episodes of the first series. In the episodes presented here the dual between Ichigo and Uryu gets out of hand forcing them to team up in order to defeat their foes and leads some of Ichigo's friends to develop powers of their own. Once this crisis is dealt with the Soul Society finally catches up with Rukia forcing Ichigo and his friends to enter training in order to save her.
Bleach continues to impress with the episodes in this set being, if anything, better than those in the first half of the series. The animation is great and the voice acting on the English dub is relatively good. The plot is involving and exciting and although it does sometimes take a while for it to get anywhere it is by no means as bad in that regard as some other anime series. I will definitely be looking forward to seeing series two.
