Customer Rating: Summary: Same album again: not brilliant this time Comment: Eric Bibb's albums they all sound quite the same. This is not a problem when you like someone's style and songs are good enough.
This time we get the usual bunch of well intentioned blues with a couple of stellar guests that do not add very much really . The problem is that songs are neither exciting nor execrable, leaving things somewhere in the middle and paving the way for a couple of yawns.
My favourite song is Pockets and Bonnie Raitt's slide is always nice to hear.
If you are new to Eric Bibb try ealier efforts like Friends or Painting Signs.
If not, I would say that this is not his best. So, if you are not the biggest fan, save your money for a hopefully more inspired future release.
