Customer Rating: Summary: Thank God for the Fast Forward Button..Nearly Comment: I started to watch this Film with the Best of intentions, but i had to admit that the Slow Storyline and Plodding Dialogue soon had me thinking of reaching for the FF Button. The Film itself tries to be too clever at Times.I wont spoil the plot which isnt too Bad.Not a Gret Film, but not rivetting either.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant dark thriller Comment: When watching a thriller you are bound to encounter the odd predictable scenario and the theme of blackmail is hardly new though none of this matters. With a thriller you are looking for some genuine suspense and good acting, both of which we are given in generous amounts.
This is a subtly told, often grim, psychological French thriller from the same writer as 'Get Carter', thoroughly enjoyable and a little bit disturbing. I urge you to watch.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sinister, stylish, OTT Comment: Brooding atmosphere, flawed 'hero', menacing villain & an iconic staircase... Yes, it's a modern noir thriller & a particularly stylish one at that.
Vincent's life is coming apart - his wife wants to divorce him & stop him from seeing their kids, plus things at work aren't going too well. Then along comes an old school 'friend' & professional blackmailer who is determined to smash what's left of it to pieces & prove that however bad things get, he can make them much worse.
In all, it's a gripping thriller & although the story is particularly over the top in places (even for a movie), it kept me entertained for a couple of hours. But it's not a film I can see myself wanting to watch over again. Well worth renting but I wouldn't buy it myself.
Customer Rating: Summary: Le Serpent!! C'est Tres Bien!! Comment: I have to say I was sceptical of this film at first as it is subtitled. However, what an excellent tension-building film. This is a thriller, very much in the Hitchcock style and this works well. The way dramatic tension is built and the way the mystery unfolds. A clever film that is looking at a photographer's life through a lens of its own. I loved it!!
Just get it, it's very good!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Sub -Titled Comment: I found this an entertaining film but not one that I would watch again. The reason for this is that for me the sub-titles are off putting and I found it hard to concentrate on enjoying the movie.
