Summary: An imaginative and creative product
Comment: PagePlus is a desktop publishing application that has been around in one form or another for almost 20 years. It is Serif's flagship product and has won a lot of awards, and rightly so. The latest version, X3, hides a lot of power, and sometimes it really does hide it because I couldn't find it amid the many menus, dialog boxes, toolbars, flyouts and studio tabs. It has to be said that if you are not used to the way that Serif layout their applications, it will take many hours or even days of learning to bring you fully up to speed. The question is, is the journey worth-while? Comparing with the cost and features of its rivals, the answer has to be a resounding yes. PagePlus provides professional publishing tools that beat the competition hands down, and at an affordable price.
There are occasional nuisances with the product. Sometimes 'undo' actually reverses more than one step which can be frustrating. The PDF import and edit facility, which should be very useful, has limited use given that I haven't yet found a PDF that it can fully handle (it struggled importing simple graphics in a PDF created by OpenOffice and I couldn't import Serif's own user guide successfully). The application also hangs when trying to check for product updates on the web.
However, these really are minor nuisances, if you're starting a flyer or brochure from scratch you'll find the suite of tools that PagePlus provides you with more than comprehensive and the selection of design templates generous in most categories. PagePlus rewards the patient, and I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Not your average publisher
Comment: Finally, a publisher package with all the things you actually need! This software takes what you normally get from something like Microsoft's Publisher, and gives you so much more power. Unlike MS Publisher, and Adobe InDesign. This product provides you with Important and Export of PDFs, web publishing, pdf form processing, integrated image fixing and adjustments, and much more. In particular, the Image Cutout Studio is far extends the rather limited equivalents. A fantastic piece of technology, the key tool for anyone who wants to produce high-quality publications.

Summary: Impressive package
Comment: Im not a technically minded person so this isnt a technical review.For some reason I can work these packages but cant really explain them well !
Firstily I have been using microsoft publisher 2001 for a few years. I have got adobe and photoshop etc but have always preferred the picture publisher as its so easy to use.
I never thought I would be swayed from it but this did it !
I make a lot of flyers, business cards and newsletters for voluntary agencies and have been delighted with this.
I find it really easy to use and it has everything I and anyone who does similar things needs.
It lets you save your items in a variety of formats and is compatibile with all other applications eg word ,works etc.
With a great, pratical design package you have enless graphics. layouts etc to use.
For the price it is amazing and maybe its not got the coolnesss of having a big budget name but heck this really does the trick. I know which package I would rather use -this.

Summary: Great Banners!!
Comment: I specifically got this product for banner creation as I use them at work. I have to say it does it very well, quickly, professionally and is wizard driven so perfect for someone like me!
All in all a great product and strongly recommended for what it is, and just to confirm I have purchased much more expensive publisher programs on the market that have not been as good.
GO FOR IT!
